When should I begin using Pregnant Pauses®?Pregnant Pauses® should be used during every stage of your pregnancy. As your body changes, the movements you learn early on will help you adjust and adapt to all the transformations your body will go through in each trimester.
What is on the Pregnant Pauses® DVD?The DVD has over seven hours of proven movement methods compiled into six (6) different “Pauses” aimed to teach simple movements that ease everyday tasks such as getting up or down, sleeping, rolling over and breathing.
Each “Pause” is explained step by step along with a short talk that will help you understand the thinking and theory behind each “Pause.”
What if I have pain or discomfort while using Pregnant Pauses®?The movement methods you will learn using Pregnant Pauses® are designed so that you can do them even if you have pain or discomfort. By doing each Pregnant Pause gently and slowly, as directed, you are likely to find that over time your pain and discomfort will be alleviated.
How often should I use Pregnant Pauses®?Pregnant Pauses® can be used as little or as much as you need it. The movements are broken down into six “Pauses” so you can choose whether to do them every day, once a week, during the day or in the evening. These movements are designed to help you with every day tasks, so the more you are able to integrate them into your routine the easier you will find it to walk, breath, sit down, roll over and sleep.
Do I have to be in good shape to do Pregnant Pauses®?No. Pregnant Pauses® is not exercise in the traditional sense. Instead, Pregnant Pauses® teaches proper movement techniques so that you will have more energy and be able to do every day tasks with less difficulty as your pregnancy develops.
Why is it important to find my pelvic floor?The Pregnant Pauses® DVD teaches many different movement methods, but one of the most important is learning how to do Kegel exercises to benefit your pregnancy. By using Pregnant Pauses® you will learn new and more effective ways to do Kegel exercise techniques that will better prepare your pelvic floor for stress during the later stages of pregnancy and childbirth.
